Introduction
The 2026 World Abilitysport Guttmann Games, a ground breaking new multi-sport event exclusively for non-Paralympic sports, will be hosted from 16–21 August 2026 at the picturesque lakeside Sport Institute of Three Campuses – Pajulahti Campus in Lahti, Finland.
Named in honour of Sir Ludwig Guttmann, founder of World Abilitysport and widely recognised as the father of the Paralympic Movement, the Guttmann Games will celebrate his legacy of innovation, inclusion and opportunity through sport.
The World Abilitysport Guttmann Games break new ground as the first multi-Para sport event of their kind focused entirely on non-Paralympic Games disciplines. This initiative underlines World Abilitysport’s strategic commitment to opening up more opportunities to more athletes with physical impairments and providing an international platform for emerging and developing sports.
