HKPC welcomes the HKSAR Government’s acquisition of the broadcasting rights for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

The China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee (HKPC) warmly welcomes the HKSAR Government’s purchase of the broadcasting rights for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, to be televised or live-streamed by four domestic free television broadcasters. The HKPC will support the HKSAR Government and the broadcasting organizations in the live coverage of the Paralympic Games.

Hong Kong introduced live coverage of the Paralympic Games for the first time during the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games, which sparked significant interest among Hong Kong citizens in Paralympic sports. The HKPC believes that the government’s renewal of the Paralympic Games’ TV broadcasting rights will further boost the development of local Para sports. By watching the live broadcasts of the Paralympic Games, citizens can gain a deeper understanding of Para sports and pay closer attention to Hong Kong’s Para athletes, significantly benefiting the overall societal efforts to promote the Para sports and discover local talent.

The HKPC will launch promotional and publicity efforts for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games to continue the sports fervor of the Olympics. During the Paralympic Games, the HKPC will provide the latest updates and schedules for the team of Hong Kong, China, allowing all sectors to stay closely connected to the events and cheer for the athletes.
