Warm congratulations to Hong Kong Para fencer Yu Chui Yee on her election as a Trustee of the World Abilitysport Governing Board!
Chui Yee began her Para fencing career at the age of 16 and has achieved remarkable success over the years. She won four gold medals at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, followed by further gold medals in the Beijing and London Paralympic Games, amassing an impressive record of seven gold, three silver, and one bronze medal — making her Hong Kong’s most decorated Paralympian in terms of gold medals. In recognition of her outstanding performance and contributions to the development of Para sports, Chui Yee was named Best Female Athlete by the Asian Paralympic Committee in 2019.
